Auto Pay

With Auto Pay, we'll bill you automatically for the number of chargeable journeys your vehicle makes within the Congestion Charge zone or through Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels. You'll only be billed for Ultra Low Emission Zone and Low Emission Zone charges if your vehicle doesn't meet emissions standards and you drive within the zones.

Charges apply for Blackwall and Silvertown tunnel crossings.

If you've already signed up for Auto Pay, your tunnel crossing charges will
be paid automatically.

We offer two payment options - Auto Pay and Fleet Auto Pay. If you or your business regularly drive more than 5 vehicles within a charging zone or through Blackwall and Silvertown tunnels, choose Fleet Auto Pay.

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years old (drivers aged 16 or 17 must register their vehicles on a parent or guardian's Auto Pay)
  • Either complete a Direct Debit mandate or link a payment card
  • Tell us which vehicles you want to register

There are no registration or renewal fees to add vehicles to Auto Pay or Fleet Auto Pay.

Fleet Auto Pay

The Fleet Auto Pay service is only available to business customers using more than five vehicles.

You can add up to five account users to help you manage your Fleet Auto Pay service.

How Auto Pay works

Auto Pay covers your payments from the moment you set it up, as well as payments for trips made earlier on the same day. Any trip you make inside charging zones or through Blackwall or Silvertown tunnel on the day before you set up will not be covered by Auto Pay. You'll need to pay these charges separately.

Charges may take up to 5 working days to show up in your Auto Pay transactions, and the money will be automatically debited from your bank account. Your first payment will take place one month after you set up Auto Pay, and then at the end of every billing period.
